Linda cares deeply about helping families through life transitions for better outcomes, increasing financial education and reducing financial stress. By training accredited financial professionals to meet the needs of Canadians is key to the work with the Academy of Financial Divorce Specialists. The CFDS professionals who are trained, assist with the financials aspects for marriage or cohabitation agreements, and during separation and divorce.
Experience
• Developed the Canadian content for the Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist, (CDFS) course, opening the Academy of Financial Divorce Specialists that trains accredited financial professionals across Canada from 2003 to present
• Taught the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) course at Cambrian College
• Set up and ran the only Mutual Fund Dealership in Northern Ontario 1997-2018
• Written monthly newspaper column for the Sudbury Star on financial matters and textbooks for Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist course
• Hosted two TV series on financial topics for the public
• Selected by Business & Professional Women’s Club as 1998 Woman of the Year
• Received National Financial Planner award in 2000 from the Canadian Association of Financial Planners
• Instrumental in establishing the Sudbury Collaborative Practice Group
