Samantha Simpson’s family law practice includes all areas of family law, with a particular interest in disputes involving children, including representing parents in disputes involving the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Whether the family law dispute in front of her pertains to children or is solely financial, Samantha approaches all legal challenges with empathy and skill. While regularly appearing in court on behalf of her clients, she is also a certified Collaborative Family Law lawyer and regularly resolves family law matters outside of the court system through negotiation and mediation.
In addition to her client work, Samantha has taught Family Law at the University of British Columbia and presented at the National Family Law Conference—in 2014 on the topic of “Queer Parents and the Law,” and in 2018 on “Parental Alienation.”
