Clara (she/her) has been practicing family law for over ten years. She specializes in non-adversarial approaches to dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and Collaborative Divorce. Clara is experienced in all aspects of family law, including cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, parenting arrangements, spousal support, and division of family property and debt.
Clara believes that divorce can, and should, be a respectful and dignified process, especially when children are involved. Clara strives to ensure that her clients feel heard, safe, and supported. No two families are exactly alike, and Clara believes it’s important to tailor the legal strategy, and the dispute resolution process, to serve the individual needs of each client.
Clara received her BA from Simon Fraser University in 2005, and she received her LLB from the University of Alberta in 2009. After completing her articling year in Calgary, she was called to the Alberta bar in 2010, and, soon after, she was called to the BC bar in 2011. She has practiced exclusively in the area of family law ever since.
Clara is a member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Vancouver Family Law Subsection, as well as a member of Collaborative Divorce Vancouver. She is also a previous author of updates for the Continuing Legal Education Society’s publication Family Law Agreements: Annotated Precedents.
